Here at The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre we can certainly say which way the wind’s blowing. It’s set fair for the Goteborg Boat Show 2018, with more exhibitors, more visitors and more purchases being made. More visitors mean more customers. And more customers mean satisfied exhibitors. We hope that they in tum will mean an even better Boat Show.
Satisfied exhibitors are the ones who establish new contacts and make plenty of sales. We’re happy to say that nearly 75% of the exhibitors at the 2016 Show were satisfied with the sales they’d made.
2017 nearly 65 000 people visited the fair. Eight out of every ten visitors is an incipient salt. There’s nothing wrong with this male predominance, but we’d like to see more womenfolk among them. And more children and young people too, because they’ll be the boat owners of the future. So activities will include an exhibition of model boats with opportunities for visitors to try their hands at the helm. And a large basin dedicated to testing different kinds of smaller boats. There will also be a new section dedicated to sport fishing and a lot of activities for children.
